Vietnam. Beer production continues to grow, the largest brewer backs down

According to official statistics, in November 2015, beer production of Vietnamese industry amounted to 298.8 million liters of beer that is 8.7% more than for the same period last year.

In particular, the production of beer by Hanoi Beer Alcohol and Beverage Joint Stock Corporation (Habeco) is estimated at 52.5 million liters that is 6.5% more than for the same period last year. The largest Vietnamese brewing company Saigon Beer-Alcohol-Beverage Corporation (Sabeco) produced 120.8 million liters of beer. This is 5% less than last year.
Over 11 months of 2015, 3053.3 million liters of beer were produced which is 6.8% more than for the same period last year.
At the same time, the production of beer by Habeco corporation is estimated at 651 million liters with a growth of 5.6% compared to the previous year. On the contrary, according to the official data, Sabeco produced 1351.8 million liters that is 3.4% less than for the period from January to November 2014.
