Vietnam. VLB management: the sale of Larue brand to the Chinese is just a rumor

On the ninth day after the celebration of Chinese New Year, the representatives of the management of Danang visited the local brewery of VBL Company. The company’s management denied the information about the sale of the famous Vietnamese beer brand Larue.

Recently, rumors about the sale of Larue brand to China have spread around the city. In fact, they have not been confirmed, however, began to affect the economic activities of VBL and psychological mood of consumers.

Mr. Leo Evers, Chief Executive Officer of Vietnam Brewery Limited, said: “It’s just a rumor. We have been producing beer Larue for over 100 years in accordance with European quality standards and according to European technology. Over the past few years we have not had any changes in relations with our partners and owners. This state of affairs will continue in the near future.”
