Vietnam. Beer production grew 5.8% over four months of 2016

According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, over the last four months, the beer production in the country has come 5.8% up versus the same period the previous year.

From January till April, Vietnamese brewers produced 1.005 bln. liters of beer.

April, the total production volume of beer in Vietnam was estimated at 206.5 mln liters, which is equal to the production in April 2015.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade claims the country’s brewery was developing steadily in January-April, yet, the industry’s profit margin has decreased due to the excise growth introduced in January this year.

According to assessments of alcohol industry experts in 2016, the Vietnamese will consume about 3.2 bln liters of beer, which is slightly more than the prior year.
