RPT-Kirin to set up China drinks JV with China Resources

Japanese brewer Kirin Holdings (2503.T) said on Monday it has agreed to establish a joint venture with China’s top beer maker China Resources Enterprise (0291.HK), to produce and distribute beverages in the country.

Kirin will invest about $400 million to take a 40 percent stake in the venture, with China Resources Enterprise, to hold the rest, the Japanese firm said in a statement. (Reporting by James Topham)
