The decision was made on October 1st, 2010 by the Executive committee of the Lviv City Council (LCC) on the ban of beer retailing after 10 pm, was suspended — until decision making on the merits — by the Halytskyi district court where the prosecutor addressed. The Beer Institute estimates that there was a 1.6% drop in taxable removals of 180.024 million barrels of beer in 2010 compared to 2009. Unofficial national brewer production indicate an increase of 1.9% in taxable removals of 13.550 million barrels in December 2010 compared to 13,300 million barrels in December 2009, the Beer Institute informed.
