Asahi Breweries: No interest in Foster’s at this time

Japan’s Asahi Breweries (2502.T) has no interest in buying Australia’s Foster’s Group (FGL.AX) at this time, the firm’s president said on Wednesday.
“The price is expensive and recently (Australia’s) market is looking tough,” President Naoki Izumiya said after a press briefing in Tokyo.
Asahi has been interested in the beer operations of Foster’s, market watchers have said.
