CHINA: Chongqing Brewery’s net profit almost doubles in 2010

Chongqing Brewery on Friday announced yesterday that its net profit increased by 99.42% in 2010 compared to previous year to RMB 360 million.The company reported basic earnings per share of RMB 0.75, a 102.7% rise year-on-year. Chongqing Brewery declared a final dividend of RMB 3 per ten shares. Sales revenues increased by 5.08% to RMB 2.38 billion, according to the company’s report.
The firm is set to bring in RMB 2.547 billion operating income in 2011.
Danish brewer Carlsberg bought a 12.25% share of Chongqing Brewery Co in November for 2.39 billion yuan and became the leading shareholder of Chongqing Brewery with 29.71% shares. Carlsberg currently operates 19 breweries in China.
