Asahi To Unload Stake In China’s Hangzhou Beer To Local Brewer

Asahi Group Holdings Ltd. (2502) said Tuesday that it will sell its entire 55% interest in China’s Hangzhou Xihu Beer Asahi Co., or Hangzhou Beer, due to a disagreement with its local joint venture partner.

Molson Coors 2Q profit falls on higher costs

Molson Coors Brewing Co. found that higher prices were not enough to offset weak beer sales and increased costs for fuel and ingredients in the second quarter. The maker of Coors Light, Keystone Light, Carling and other beers reported Tuesday that its net income fell 6 percent, missing analysts’ expectations. (more…)

drinktec, the Worldґs Leading Trade Fair for Beverage and Liquid Food Technology, is now a co-organiser of CBB, China Brew & China Beverage, International Brew & Beverage Processing Technology and Equipment Exhibition for China.
