  • Reading time:2 min(s) read

Beers aged in port wine barrels, stouts, champagne beers and historical recipes roused from their slumbers – more and more brewers and beer connoisseurs are discovering their love of gourmet beers. Glass designs inspired by this trend are now a main topic for RASTAL at this year’s Brau Beviale: in the view of the drinking-glass experts at RASTAL, the de luxe gourmet glass will be the bar-trend of 2012. For whenever the desire is to lend a beer an unconventional or sophisticated, up-market image, an appropriate, strikingly-designed glass is needed. The glass-design and decoration experts will be showcasing the best examples of these gourmet glasses at Brau Beviale: a multitude of attractive stemmed-glass designs will be presented to admiring visitors; from A as in Ambrosius and B as in Braufactum and K as in Kronenbourg to Z as in Zagorka. And, of course, a corresponding range of attractive decoration possibilities.

Special luxury beers have special requirements regarding tasting glasses. So the glass-design experts at RASTAL in the Westerwald region have once again decided to set standards themselves. Their unconventional candidate, available in two versions, transparent or opaque: the goblet-shape glass “Teku”. This gem is a strong candidate for the de luxe beer enjoyment stakes, and its form and decoration finish also make it an ideal tasting glass that ensures the perfect notes of the beers will be appreciated to the full.
