Heineken’s Rwandan Unit Posts 40% Increase in First-Half Profit

Heineken NV (HEIA)’s Rwandan unit said first-half profit climbed 40 percent, helped by increased sales of softdrinks and its Primus and Mutzig beer brands.

Net income increased to 5.46 billion Rwandan francs ($9.1 million) in the six months through June, from 3.89 billion a year earlier, Brasseries et Limonaderies du Rwanda SA said in a statement handed to reporters today in Kigali, the capital. Revenue grew 27 percent to 29.5 billion francs, it said.
