Fans of craft beer will have a new option here in the Valley when The Phoenix Ale Brewery opens its doors to the public this week.

Several of The Phoenix Ale Brewery’s beers are already available at bars and restaurants around the Valley including Fretzy’s Unfiltered Ale and the Camelback IPA.

However, The Phoenix Ale Brewery’s headquarters, located at 30th and Washington streets, will officially open on Tuesday offering tastings, tours, and more.

“We’re excited to have the public come to the brewery,” said co-owner George Hancock.

“People who like craft beer are very passionate about it and that’s how our company is,” added co-owner Gregory “Fretzy” Fretz. “We’re three passionate people who want to move the beer forward.”

The Phoenix Ale Brewery plans to add a Watermelon Unfiltered Ale to its lineup of beers in early October.

“We intend to be a significant regional brewer,” Hancock said.

Brewery tours will be held weekdays at 4 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays at 2 p.m.

The retail shop will be open from noon to 5 p.m. weekdays and noon to 3 p.m. on weekends.
