The 6. Anuga FoodTec (27.03. – 30.03.2012) in Cologne, Germany, provides the perfect platform for Pentair S?dmo to present the DSV Complete double seat valve range. After a very successful roll-out of the standard variants of the DSV Complete valve range, Pentair S?dmo now offers further executions and nominal widths. With this Pentair S?dmo – the specialist for valve technology and process installations for the beverage, food and pharma industries – now has an even wider variety of products for its customers.
The range of nominal widths was extended from DN 25 to DN 150 (DIN 11850), OD 1.0” to OD 6.” (ASME BPE 1997) and ISO 25 to ISO 100 (DIN EN ISO 1127). Additional executions including shuttle, tank outlet and ring main valves, a sterilizable execution, as well as a costefficient
variant for the application in CIP areas are available. The valve range is complemented by a mix proof valve that – with minimized space demand – fulfills the requirements of the U.S. Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO).
Mix proof valve technology for tank outlets, ring mains and CIP areas DSV Complete tank outlet valves enable the process installation operator to fully integrate the complete piping system – up to the tank bottom – into the CIP processes. By using these valves no product residue can remain in the tank outlet pipes.
The preferred area of application for ring main double seat valves is withdrawal and infeed of circulating liquids with nominal widths larger than DN 150, as they are applied in storage areas of mineral water plants.
The CIP double seat variants are a cost-optimized execution for the mix proof application in CIP areas. The cleaning of the leakage chamber is – due to a defined switching loss – automatically done during opening resp. closing of the valve.
Sterilizable execution
On basis of a leak-free switching and liftable double seat valve Pentair S?dmo implemented the “S-sp” sterilizable and flushable execution. Additional steam/flush locks at the atmospheric stem duct areas, as well as an external spindle flush connection assures the sterilization of all areas that are contacted with product during the stroke of the valve. This execution is optimally suited for aseptic applications.
365it Complete PMO Mix Proof
The 365it Complete Mix Proof Valve incorporates an additional centrally located valve seat. Furthermore, the design of the lower valve stem allows automated mechanical cleaning of the external lower stem surface during CIP as standard. Combined with the process control top IntelliTop 2.0®, the 365it Complete fulfills the strict requirements of the PMO for use in the U.S. dairy industry.
New seal and guidance conception
The DSV Complete valve range has been undergone new conceptions of the sealing technology and guidance of moving valve parts. In the areas of the shaft duct, Pentair S?dmo not only enhanced the seals and guidance parts, but also optimized the surface quality of the stainless steel shaft by application of a special manufacturing technology. Thus the friction during the valve stroke was reduced by more the 50 percent. Furthermore, the valve seat area has been redesigned. The innovative RSC seal is now used for the sealing of the radial valve seat. This results in a significant higher life cycle time and an increase of the permissible operation pressure up to 10 bar (145 psi).
Focus on manufacturing quality The valves in the DSV Complete range are machined out of a solid piece of bar stock. This results in valves of highest quality and robustness. Pentair S?dmo also makes maintenance as easy as possible. All wear and tear parts of DSV Complete valves can easily and quickly be exchanged without the need of expensive specialized tools.

Pentair Food & Beverage at the Anuga FoodTec 2012
As part of Pentair Food & Beverage, Pentair S?dmo is along with Pentair Haffmans, which will present products from Carl Prandtl MicroFiltration at Anuga FoodTech. In addition, Pentair XFlow will showcase aerobic and anaerobic membrane bioreactors (MBR) for wastewater treatment. With membrane technology at its core, these solutions offer significant advantages concerning water quality, sustainability and operational costs. Moreover, anaerobic MBR technology offers the possibility to maximize the waste-to-energy ratio of the production process through the production of biogas from wastewater streams.
