“This beer is a twist on refreshment, the organizing idea that is at the heart of Coors Light,” Molson Coors CEO Peter Swinburn said.

“Coors Light is the world’s most refreshing beer,” he said. “Iced tea is the world’s most refreshing non-alcoholic drink.”

The product will launch in Canada in April, where the company plans on putting “significant investment” behind it. Molson Coors spokesman Colin Wheeler said the company will evaluate how the beverage performs in Canada before deciding whether to bring it to the U.S.

Swinburn told analysts that the company also hoped to expand the reach of its niche beer brands, including Batch 19 and Blue Moon, and make further inroads into emerging markets like China and India.

Molson Coors shares slipped 3% Tuesday to close at $42.04
