China. The market share of imported beer reached 1.14% in 2015

In December 2015, imports of beer to China increased by 31.9% and amounted to 33.9 million litres. The growth rates of imports of beer have decreased, however, the general tendency to its increase by volume remained.

From January to December 2015, beer delivery from abroad increased by 58.9% to 538.5 million litres. During the same period last year this figure amounted to 338.9 million litres.

Against the backdrop of falling beer market the share of import, although remains small, but it is growing rapidly. While in 2014 it amounted to 0.69%, it reached 1.14% by the end of 2015.

The rising trend in volumes of foreign deliveries has continued for two years. Thus, the import of beer in 2014 increased by 85.3%. If in 2013 China bought 182 mln. liters, in 2014 the volume increased to 339 mln. liters.
