AB InBev goes it alone in shrinking Chinese beer market

Anheuser-Busch InBev Wednesday announced the termination of a joint venture in a Chinese brewery between SABMiller and China Resources Beer.

China Resources Beer will buy SABMiller’s stake in the Beijing-based CR Snow brewing company for $1.6 billion. The sale clears the way for the completion of AB InBev’s takeover of London-based SABMiller. (more…)
