drinktec, the Worldґs Leading Trade Fair for Beverage and Liquid Food Technology, is now a co-organiser of CBB, China Brew & China Beverage, International Brew & Beverage Processing Technology and Equipment Exhibition for China. Romanians love their beer, especially on a scorching summer’s day, but so far it looks like not even the torrid weather will help brewers defy the droop of recent years. The local beer market fell by 3.5 percent in 2010 and another 2 percent in the first quarter of 2011, forcing local brewers to adapt to the sober new conditions. (more…)

Foster’s CEO Says SABMiller Offer Was “So Far From Reality”

Foster’s Group has relaunched its iconic beer business with a new name and brand identity as part of its renewed focus as a dedicated, world-class brewer and to celebrate beer’s meaning to Australians. Carlton & United Breweries, the business formed in 1907 through the unification of Foster’s Brewing Company, the Victoria Brewery, the Carlton Brewery and three other Melbourne breweries, has been renamed Carlton United Brewers.
