The trend of complication of Russian beer market is going on and in several directions at the same time. The range has got wider, the import and small segments are growing, namely craft beer, alcohol-free beer and special flavor beer. At the same time, all ex-mega brands and light lagers by Russian brewers are experiencing a decline of their shares. AB InBev Efes, Heineken, MBC and Pivzavod Trekhsosenskiy have exceeded the market, Carlsberg was developing slower than the market and Ochakovo as well as some other mid-sized breweries have been cutting down their volumes. To a big extent brewers’ performance was connected to their ability to reach agreement with networks, sacrifice their margin and enter new markets. Successful ideas rapidly attract attention so one cannot forget of legal protection of intellectual property (IP), that is formula, process, brand name and label design. The global outlooks of the legal market of cannabis are excellent. It is possible to simultaneously imagine dry law repeal and craft brewing boom but not in one but in several consumer categories. For alcohol is contained in liquids and cannabis derivatives can be in three physical forms.

The value of legal market of cannabis and its products can reach 10% of the world beer market in five years, and in 2030-2040 even reach the same scope provided the current rates of legalization and development of market infrastructure remain at the same level. Cannabinoids are actively integrating into the food industry from chewing gum to beverages deforming the pharmaceutical and alcohol markets, they influence the trends of healthy lifestyle and beauty. At its AUSPACK conference on March 27, 2019, the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) selected the best packaging innovations and products of the year. GEA VIPOLL received the Award of Excellence for its ALL IN ONE monoblock filler in two categories: GEA’s Australian partner Foodmach had submitted the filler for the competition and received the “Best New Product Award” and the “Best Imported Equipment Award” for the ALL ON ONE which fills cans, glass and PET bottles. At the premiere of Korea’s first international trade fair for the beer industry towards the end of March 2019, NürnbergMesse Group and the organiser GMEG (Global MICE Experts Group) signed a cooperation agreement. Beviale Moscow 2019: Renewed growth and upbeat mood at Eastern Europe’s trade show for the entire beverage chain

For the fourth time, from 19 to 21 February 2019, Beviale Moscow offered players from the Eastern European beverage industry a central platform at Moscow’s Crocus Expo. The around 6,200 trade visitors (some 5,300 in 2018) from 47 countries were in good spirits and showed a keen interest in the 164 exhibitors (146 in 2018). 75% production capacity increase: Gable X meets demand for PET packaging with support from Sidel

Gable X Cleaning Solutions Company Limited, located in Chaguanas (Trinidad and Tobago), has ordered its second blow moulding equipment from Sidel, the leading global provider of PET, can and glass solutions for liquid packaging. With the recently acquired Sidel blowing machine, the co-packer has significantly improved its production capacity, adding as much as 75% to its daily output of PET packaging. Alongside being fully equipped to meet the growing demand for PET packaged goods in the region, this choice enables Gable X to protect their competitiveness and guarantee a regular and reliable supply flow. With the OMNIUM brewing process development, ZIEMANN HOLVRIEKA combines century-old brewmaster knowledge with state-of-the-art high-tech equipment. The result is a brewing process designed with the highest degrees of freedom. It can be easily selected, for example, the type and time of hop addition, the grist composition, first wort concentration or boiled wort volume. In addition, it allows shorter process times and high raw material yields. OMNIUM by Ziemann was implemented for the first time in 2018 in a new brewhouse. The medium-sized Schlossbrauerei Reckendorf in Franconia took over this pioneering role. The following article provides a technological portrait of OMNIUM and includes the first practical results.
