The Chinese beer major, Tsingtao Brewery, has launched in the Indian market.Announcing official launch of the beer on the first day of the Chinese New Year, Niu Qingbao, Consul-General of China in India, said yesterday (3 February): “I am glad to say that the internationally-acclaimed Chinese beer is now available in India.”
Though Tsingtao first appeared in the country last year, its launch was not made official until yesterday.
Tsingtao is 20%-owned by Japan’s Asahi Breweries, which was itself eyeing a venture in India last year.
