Irish brewer Guinness, best known for its creamy stout, is rolling out its new Black Lager nationwide next month, the company said Wednesday. “The U.S. beer market is evolving and we believe this is the right time to introduce a lager to meet consumers’ needs,” said Doug Campbell, brand director of Guinness, in the announcement. “Black Lager will appeal to a range of drinkers; those who want a refreshing- tasting beer with real character, and our loyal Guinness consumers.” The product will be sold in 11.2 oz. bottles and is 4.5% alcohol by volume.
