MillerCoors LLC spent $630,000 in the second quarter to lobby the federal government on tax, advertising, agriculture and alcohol regulation, according to a recent disclosure report.

That’s less than the $680,000 it spent in the second quarter last year but more than the $590,000 it spent in the first quarter of this year. MillerCoors is a joint venture of the U.S. business of Molson Coors and SABMiller’s U.S. unit, with brands like Coors Light and Miller Lite.

The beer maker lobbied Congress, the Federal Trade Commission, the Department of the Treasury and other entities during April through June, according to a report MillerCoors filed July 18 with the House clerk’s office.
