Pentair presents extended hygienic components and valve range at drinktec 2013

  • Reading time:3 min(s) read

Pentair will present a comprehensive range of hygienic stainless steel centrifugal pumps for beverage and food applications at the drinktec 2013 (September 16-20) in Munich, Germany.
Designed specifically for continuous operation on thin liquids like milk, wine, cream, beer, and wort,
Pentair’s hygienic centrifugal pumps offer a very gentle treatment of liquids with a viscosity up to 500
mPa s. The pumps can handle volume flow rates of 200 m3/h and discharge pressures up to 130 m.
Being EHEDG certified, Pentair’s hygienic pumps are the ideal solution for challenging and sensitive
product applications like milk and cream products, but also yeast, and are suitable for cleaning-in-place
(CIP). Features of the pump range include a high-quality stainless steel construction – all product
contact parts are stainless steel (DIN 1.4404/316L) – and a compact maintenance-friendly design.
Pentair’s hygienic pumps family includes the HRN series, a high-efficiency pump with a closed impeller
and a uniquely designed spiral housing, which is available in an EHEDG certified execution (HRN-E).
The sophisticated design of the series offers efficiencies of up to 80 percent and significantly reduces
operating costs compared to conventional technologies.
Pentair’s hygienic centrifugal pumps, available with standard electric motors and a variety of options
including heating jackets, frequency controllers and a wide range of seals, provide optimum adaptation
to specific requirements and maximum flexibility.
New Generation: Hygienic and Aseptic Valves & Tank tops
Maximum efficiency and security on process vessels such as fermentation tanks is available with
Pentair S?dmo’s compact Tank tops that feature air cleaning combinations with built-on vacuum and
security valves. In addition, a new generation of the IntelliTank Matrix, based on the DSV Complete
double seat valve range, is now available. The IntelliTank Matrix is a compact double seat valve system
for tank filling and emptying that is installed directly under the tank. Its short pipelines eliminate dead
space making the IntelliTank Matrix an interesting alternative to conventional valve manifolds.
Pentair S?dmo has extended its DSV Complete range with the addition of type D660, a cost and
function optimized double seat valve for CIP and other cleaning applications. In addition, the SVP Select
Control Valve, type “XL”, in the nominal widths DN 125 and DN 150 for high flow rates, has been added
to the valve program. Typical applications for control valves include flow rate control, liquid and gas
dosing, pressure regulation in liquid piping, buffer tank level control, and carbon dioxide dosing for
beverage.
