On Kyar Kwet Thit Street in Yangon’s Tarmwe township, famous because it is home to more than 50 beer stations, dozens of young and middle-aged men and a handful of girls in their 20s enjoyed the nightlife earlier this week.

India. Tamil Nadu government plans to shut 1,000 more Tasmac shops

Vietnam. Will national brewers survive new taxes?

The tax rise from 1 January, 2016 affected the Vietnamese brewers’ financial position. Yet, this doesn’t seem to be the end of their problems. In April 2016, new Decree issued by the Ministry of Finance, was published. This law changes the tax basis of VAT and SCT.
