Thailand&Vietnam. Singha transferred $650 million for purchasing shares of Masan Consumer and Masan Brewery Holdings

Within the framework of the previously signed agreement, on January 28 Singha Asia Holding transferred $650 million of investment for purchasing shares of Masan Group. Of this, $600 million were transferred to pay 14.3% of the shares of Masan Consumer Holdings (MCH), and the remaining $50 million were for payment of 33% of the shares of Masan Brewery. (more…)

Beer production in Kazakhstan to decrease by 3.3% in 2015

According to data of the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the production of beer in the Republic of Kazakhstan has decreased by 3.3% to 47.394 million decalitres by the end of 2015. Despite the reduction, this dynamics is better than in Russia (-5%), Ukraine (-20%), Belarus (-6%) and China (-4%). (more…)

China. CR Snow to sell 1168.3 mln liters of beer in 2015

In 2015, beer sales of the company China Resources Breweries (Holdings) amounted to 1168.3 million liters. This is 1.34% less than in the previous year. At the same time the brewery’s turnover  grew by 0.98% to HK$ 34.82 billion.

Russia. The range of alcohol in restaurants can be halved

Since the beginning of the year, HoReCa establishments cannot resell alcohol purchased at retail, not at wholesalers.

Since 1 January 2016, with the expansion of the scope of the USAIS, the restaurants and cafes have lost the ability to legally purchase alcohol at retail stores and sell it. Igor Bukharov, the Chairman of the Federation of restaurateurs and hoteliers, explained this to Izvestia. (more…)
